Bodegas Vega de Yuco is a family company that began operating in 1997.
It is on a hill covered in grapevines in the town of Masdache, in an infrequently visited area where Volcanic Malvasia grapes predominate.
Its goal is to create a high-quality product by combining traditional preparation methods with new technology.
In 2005, with the creation of the Yaiza brand, it experienced one of its most important changes. The blue bottle with its particular shape, became the emblem for the winery and its sales increased exponentially in the following years. The Yaiza line is only the first step in production process innovation; new products have been created as a result of research: Masdache sparking and the Yaiza ecological wine are just a few examples of the winery’s drive to continue to innovate.
The winery currently produces 300,000 liters per year, which are mainly sold in Lanzarote and the other Canary Islands. It is also on the market on the Iberian Peninsula, in some European countries, and it continues to expand to other continents.
The Winery has a small shop where it sells its products. The hours are: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.
